About Camila

Hello there! I'm Camila Gangotena, originally from Quito, the vibrant heart of Ecuador. In 2001, Florida became my new home, and by 2012, I found myself deeply connected to St. Pete's welcoming arms.

My journey with leather began in 2010, inspired by a shared vision with my sister and cousin. We dreamt of crafting bags that would effortlessly complement our bicycle frames and could just as easily be flaunted as stylish backpacks. By May 2012, I introduced my creations to the Indie Market, starting with quaint wallets and elegant tote bags. The outpouring of love and demand was overwhelming! Thus, the brand 'Camila Gangotena' was born in the autumn of 2012.

Since then, my heart has intertwined with the St. Pete community, and the memories we've crafted at markets like Localtopia, Shopalooza, and Armature Works are priceless. I've also had the honor of showcasing my designs at renowned national markets, from Renegade in Miami to Market for Makers in Tampa. Each experience has been a chapter in this incredible story.
